Monument is a smaller community that sits about 20 minutes North of Colorado Springs, and about 40 minutes from the Southern edge of Denver. Monument homes are around 10 minutes from the US Air Force Academy, making it a convenient location for work commuters in many areas.

You may also hear Monument called the Tri-lakes area, given the 3 nearby lakes: Monument Lake, Palmer Lake, and the Woodmoor neighborhood lake.

This little town packs a big punch of outdoor activities and amazing views of the Rampart Range and Pikes Peak. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops to keep you busy indoors as well. Downtown Monument has great charm and local shops for a weekend’s enjoyment.

Monument homes for sale come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and price points. Santa Fe Trails and parts of Jackson Creek and Woodmoor are popular affordable Monument neighborhoods, with sales prices averaging around $350k – $400k. On the higher end, Monument neighborhoods like Kings Deer and Walden Preserve offer larger homes with bigger lots, averaging around $700k – over $1m. The town of Palmer Lake has homes in the mid $200k’s – mid $600k’s.
