Northwest including Rockrimmon and Mountain Shadows

Northwest Colorado Springs is home to several wonderful neighborhoods. To the north are the neighborhoods of Rockrimmon, Woodmen Valley and Peregrine (Academy School District 20) and south of Vindicator Dr and west of Centennials are the neighborhoods of Mountain Shadows and Oak Valley Ranch (Colorado Springs School District 11).

Rockrimmon is rolling foothills with mature trees, wildlife, and abundant trails. Developed in the 1970s, the houses sit on curvy streets and harken back to days where every home had a unique style and a good sized lot. The Rockrimmon neighborhood is close to the US Air Force Academy, and has access to plentiful shopping and amenities. Rockrimmon homes average around $350k.

Peregrine is an upscale, newer Colorado Springs neighborhood in the northwest part of town that offers new and newer single family homes from both production and custom builders. Peregrine is named after the Peregrine Falcon (native bird of prey to this region) and is a beautiful, very popular, high-end Colorado Springs neighborhood located in Academy School district 20. Nestled between Mountain Shadows and Peregrine are the established neighborhoods of Oak Valley Ranch and Live Oak Station. About 3 homes sell here each month with prices ranging from the low $200k’s for a 2 bedroom home built in the early 1980’s to $400k for a 5 bed home built in the late 1990’s.
